Rescues come in all shapes and sizes from the cria (baby) who was attacked by a mountain lion to a few llamas dumped at an auction and most likely headed for slaughter to large herds of mostly feral llamas.  Sometimes the llamas are wild, the terrain dangerous and the rescuers must navigate the hazards.  We even have the story of Lewis, a llama abandoned in Yellowstone National Park.  Each requires its own kind of expertise and our volunteers come through in every instance.
